(To best experience the Invent-Ory start at chapter 1 and go forward through time)
Back a few chapters ago, the real estate market was red hot, but now it was starting to cool off. So …
What happened?
Well, for one, students were still studying remotely, so any apartments which would have been filled by students now, are still vacant. (Not to mention, my current landlord needed one.)
In one case, we had two real estate agents looking in the index for bolts for a permanent sign outside one of the bigger apartment buildings here in South Boston. Here they were, kneeling on the ground, trying to fix a standard real-estate sign, of which you are all familiar.
Not to mention the tourism industry was totally cratered. Wherein once a week we’d have a cruise ship dock about a mile away, such occurrences were no more.
The only economic engine left was reliant solely on the young folks and their hook-up culture.
In the meantime, I was coming under more and more fire for being a simple patriot. Nevermind not buying into the COVID hoax, or being a huge Trump supporter, but the gender-affirming, gender fluid whatever Marxist nonsense was starting to invade my hardware store.
Despite my every effort to repel them with based country music (as above) I now had cross-dressing men wander into my store demanding I call them “ma’am.” As they do with platooning in other states. As with this incident(s) like these:
And I would refuse to acknowledge them as female. And so, perfect strangers started to call for boycotts of our hardware store on the internet, calling me a bigot and a fascist. “Bigot works here” was being posted to our social media pages.
As a “transphobe,” I was now putting my own business in jeopardy.
The writing was clearly on the wall, and I was making plans to leave.
Even my own boss was rooting for me to leave, as my “transphobic” behavior was making the leftist lunatics make a stink about our store.
Next week, we would run out of moving boxes for the third time …
This is my favorite part, when you GTFO and disappear
